When asked two things she likes most about Fingers client chose that he is friendly, and has a dog-like personality. Client says Finger is afraid of children and dogs. According to client, Fingers was kept indoors only and is litter-box trained. Client says Fingers eats dry food, and usually cries during car rides. Behavior during Intake Fingers was slightly afraid during intake. He initially had a flattened body with dilated pupils, but relaxed once offered food. Fingers tolerated petting and touching, and allowed all handling. Fingers showed no signs of aggression during intake.

Reaction to assessor: Fingers looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Fingers remains lying down on his cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Finger head-butts the assessor’s hand, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps back into his cage. Placement determination: Average Fingers interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
