05/29/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/29/15 20:03 Ester A1038005, Red roger A1038007, and Samuel A1038006 were all surrendered together. They were brought in because they were left in the finders home. The finder said that the roommate left 4 cats and he was only able to bring in 3 today. He will bring in the fourth one on 5/30/2015. Ester, Red Roger and Samuel were all very fearful and shy. They retreated to the back of the carriers and did not want to come out at first. I scanned all three inside of the carriers. Only Red Roger scanned positive. They allowed photographs. They allowed to be transferred into the kennel. They were tense with wide eyes but allowed us to handle them and to be collared.

06/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ester does not come to front but remains neutral inside her cage. When softly spoken to, she looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes and starts to blink slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Ester remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ester retreats from the assessor’s hand and lip licks. She attempts to avoid touch, but allows when cornered against the cage. She remains stiff and immobile throughout the interaction with her ears bent sideways. Note: Ester was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was very fearful and shy upon intake, but allowed handling. She was tense and nervous during her initial medical exam, but also allowed handling. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ester tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
