I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/23/2015 from NY 10460, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/23/15 Emil A1058769 is 1 yr old Black & white Dsh who was trapped in a parking lot and brought in by his finder. During intake emil was transferred to a ferrel den from the trap his pupils were dilated and ears pushed back. He kept a low body posture and stood to the back of the cage.He was scanned (-) and photgraphed from within the feral den.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Emil looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Emil remains hiding in her cat den, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Emil does not allow the stroke, hisses and strikes at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Emil is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
