I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/06/2015 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/06/15 09:42 Behavior during intake: This cat was mild hard body during intake. The cat did allow me to pick it up for a few seconds without struggling. The cat allowed me to collar it and take its photo. The cat was moving around a lot during the photo.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Dove Bar was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She allowed handling upon intake and during her initial medical exam. Please note that [name] is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Reaction to assessor: Dove Bar remains calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Dove Bar looks at the assessor and blinks slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Dove Bar backs up a little and focuses on the assessor. Reaction to touch: Dove Bar remains in place for petting and starts to purr. She comes to the front afterwards and solicits more attention. Reaction to pick up: Dove Bar remains soft when held, but becomes antsy after a while and jumps back into the cage. Placement Determination: Average Dove bar interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
