DASH – A1048794
***GONE 08/27/15***DARLING DASH LOST HIS HOME DUE TO OWNER’S EVICTION—NEEDS RESCUE ANGEL! It happens so fast: one minute you are a 3 year old family pet going about your business and the next minute you find yourself in a kitty nightmare. Dash was a faithful feline friend who was a family member for his entire life. He lived with cats, kids and dogs. He has been treated for an intestinal blockage in the past year. Not sure why his owner decided to feed him Meow Mix instead of a healthy wet food diet. He also recently started going outside the litterbox. Instead of a visit to the vet, his owner decided to “cure” him by dumping this great guy at the kill happy shelter. Then the euth tech will “cure” him with a lethal injection when tomorrow afternoon rolls around. Sad sigh! This is a cat who was a loved family pet, and who lived happily with people. This is the kind of cat who should transition smoothly into a new home setting. Please don’t let personal problems of the owner, be the death of this fine cat. Advocate for darling Dash—who may need a follow up check up at a competent vet—although his shelter notes state his is perfectly healthy—another reason why this darling boy deserves to live. Please reserve Dash online or contact a NH rescue for assistance with delivery of this delish black and white dude directly to your doorstep. Dash only has tonight. We are his only hope. Don’t let him down.

08/22/15 20:11hrs Dash has been cared for by his owner since he was a kitten but is being surrendered because his owner is having personal issues that prevent him from being cared for. His owner stated that he suffered from an intestinal blockage in the past year. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Dash is described as a medium activity cat that is very vocal. His owner stated that he meows all the time especially when he is hungry. He likes being petted and will allow being held sometimes. He has lived with children from infants to 16 years old. He also lived with other cats and dogs. His owner stated he played well with them and even sleeping alongside them. BEHAVIOR Dash was accustomed to grooming himself. He is litterbox trained but has been going outside of his litter box in the last two weeks. He tends to chase and eat mice that he finds in the home. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Dash likes to climb on top of the counters and cabinets in the home. He scratches the owner’s furniture in the home instead of his scratching post. He was fed dry Meow Mix cat food but his owner stated that he was supposed to be on a wet food diet. DURING INTAKE Dash was calm in his carrier and allowed handling. He was collared, scanned for a microchip (negative) and photographed without displaying any negative behavior.
