CHRISSY was dumped in the shelter system as a stray kitten. She is perfectly heatlhy and only 5 months old. The shelter staff said that she is stressed in the shelter and that is why she is acting out. Ya think?? What do you expect a scared kitten to do? CHRISSY is really a great cat and if she is given the chance to have a home where she can be loved, she will certainly learn to love back. CHRISSY NEEDS YOUR HELP TO LIVE. Reaction to assessor: Chrissy looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Chrissy remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Chrissy does not allow the stroke, hisses, and strikes at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Chrissy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
