***SAFE 12/01/15*** THREE HOUSEMATES CASPER, POE AND ICHABOB ARE PERFECTLY HEALTHY BUT SINCE THEY ARE A BIT NERVOUS IN THE SHELTER, THE ACC WILL KILL THEM ALL AT NOON! Three more housemates out of a larger group of cats from a hoarding situation are on tonight’s list again! CASPER is about 2 years old, POE is 5 yrs old and ICHABOB is only a 1 year old kitten. All are healthy yet just fearful and nervous at being abandoned in the shelter. ALL received an EXPNOCHILD rating although the owner said they were in a home with children. These 3 friends need you to save them from death at noon Sunday. These 3 cats did nothing to deserve this and only YOU can change their lives forever. They were said to be friendly and affectionate cats and all allowed petting and handling although nervous. Yet they were punished with this EXPNOCHILD rating and we all know that once in a loving home, these kitties will thrive and go back to their old sweet selves. PLEASE HELP CASPER, POE AND ICHABOB HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO A SAD STORY. CONTACT A RESCUE TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT ONE – OR ALL THREE – DON’T WAIT – THE CLOCK IS TICKING AWAY…….

11/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Casper’s previous owner states that he is usually tolerant around children and is relaxed and affectionate with the other cats he lived with. When plays with the cats, he is gentle. He has a low activity level and mostly lies around the home. He was described as a friendly cat with a good behavior. Reaction to Assessor: Casper was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Casper looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Casper becomes stiff and alert, and slowly gets up and crouches over by the back. Reaction to touch: Casper was very hesitant of touch, and hisses at the assessor’s hand. He allows gentle petting, but slowly shifts away from touch to avoid contact. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Casper tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
