Gone 9-12-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/12/15***BUJU is a handsome 3 year old gray tabby cat with a splash of white on his face. This cuddly guy lived with other cats and his owners but he was surrendered to the shelter because of his owners’ personal problems. How they could give such a sweet guy away is hard to imagine! BUJU’s life is now on the line. He is on today’s euthanasia list. BUJU is afraid, but if he is talked to softly, he comes out of his shell and blinks those big soulful cat eyes. This guy is keeper for sure!. He would do great in an experienced cat home, where he could be free to come around at his own pace. Please give this LOVEABLE guy a chance to live a great kitty life! Foster or adopt BUJU today!!

09/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Buju was bought into the care center due to the previous owner going through personal problems. Buju lived with two adults and 4 other cats. Buju is receptive to the other cats in the home but is most affectionate with the one that is his litter mate. Buju is litter box trained. Buju behavior towards children and dogs remains unknown. Notes: At the time of the assessment Buju was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this Buju go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: allows petting and handling but remains nervous Try picking cat up: Buju’s body remains tense while being held Placement Determination: Experience
