BOSTON – A1050903
Urgent 9-14-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 09/14/15** Handsome BOSTON is so freaking terrified at the shelter, his nail beds are swelling in response to the stress. Despite how scared he is, that has NEVER been the fuel for any aggression; he earned an EXPNOCHILD rating that he can be proud of. BOSTON is a young boy with the prettiest green eyes, against the richest blue coat; given a chance, this boy should go on to be an exceptional companion. BOSTON NEEDS A FOSTER or ADOPTER tonight, and YOU are his last hope! Please pledge toward his care, share him far and wide, and point any legitimate foster/adopters toward the help desk at [email protected], tonight!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Note: Boston was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was very fearful upon intake and attempted to flee from the admission counselors. Despite being afraid, he did not show any signs of aggression during intake. Reaction to assessor: Boston was hiding behind a box upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Boston focuses on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Boston remains motionless, but his eyes start to wander. Reaction to touch: Boston focuses on the assessor’s hand, but remains immobile and allows petting. He starts to lip lick and blinks slowly. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Boston tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
