*** GONE 10/21/15 *** BEAUTIFUL BARBARA IS AN EBONY LADY RESCUED FROM KIDS WHO WERE THROWING ROCKS AT HER!! BARBARA’S finder didn’t leave much info but apparently had scooped BARBARA and other cats out of an alleyway…..Once she felt safe again, BARBARA earned a BEGINNER rating by purring and rolling over!! Our licorice girl needs a competent vet exam as she has some dental issues and an indeterminate mass on the side of her face that needs to be checked….and could be due to the dental disease…PLEASE OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT BARBARA TONIGHT!! SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH……SAVE HER LIFE NOW!!

10/16/15 21:03 Bob barker is an all black cat that came in as a stray. Finder stated that she found them in an alleyway behind her building and kids were throwing rocks at them. She was unable to stay to be counseled therefore, no further information was given. Upon intake, Bob Barker hissed when being transferred from one carrier to the next. It was not handled. The sex is not yet determined.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Barbara was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder found her in an alleyway where kids were throwing rocks at her. She hissed upon intake when being transferred to another carrier, but she was easy to handle during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Barbara was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Barbara looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Barbara remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Barbara was a bit hesitant, but warms up as soon as she was pet. She begins to purr, rolls over, and head-butts. Reaction when picked up: Barbara remains soft and allows all handling. Placement Determination: Beginner Barbara interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
