***SAFE 06/04/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY SNOW WHITE BEAUTY BLANCO IS A SCARED STRAY AND IS GOING TO DIE FOR HIS FEAR!!! BLANCO was brought into the shelter as a stray. It’s hard to believe since he looks so clean and groomed. He is also only a year and a half old. This blue eyed handsome boy is just terrified and the ACC didn’t even bother to do much of an assessment on him. They just would rather end his life tomorrow. BLANCO is NEW HOPE rated for his fear which means you will have to contact a rescue group to pull him to safety. If you can give this guy some space to chill and decompress please don’t let the ACC make him a statistic tonight!! CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL BLANCO TO SAFETY – GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO LIVE AND HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO HIS STORY!!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Blanco was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behavior that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He tries to bite and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me to avoid being touched, tries to bite(3) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, tries to bite Placement Determination: NewHope
