Reaction to assessor: Monica remains calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Monica peeks up and looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Monica remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Monica remains in place and allows petting. She slowly warms up to the assessor, rolls onto her side and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Monica becomes tense, but allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Monica tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Date: 10/23/15 Reaction to assessor: Monica does not come to the front . She seems indifferent towards the assessor When spoken quietly: Monica does not come to the front . She seems indifferent towards the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Monica watches the assessor curiously Reaction to touch: Monica allows petting. She leans into head rubs and begins to round over. Try picking cat up: Monica is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Monica was displaying shy behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention and tolerates all petting. Monica is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
