07/29/15 19:33 Bethesda is a female orange tabby who was brought into ACC today as a stray. Bethesda was nervous struggling when she was being transferred into a new carrier. Bethesda eventually calmed down and allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier. Bethesda due to her nervousness at her new surroundings did not allow herself to be collared retreating further into her carrier when an attempt was made. Bethesda did allow herself to be photographed while in her carrier. Betesda is pregnant and appears to be healthy.

Reaction to Assessor: Bethesda was calm and relaxed upon approach. She looks and sniffs around while lying down in her cage when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Bethesda remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Bethesda seems a bit hesitant at first, but remains in place and closes her eyes when pet on her head and back. Reaction to being picked up: Bethesda becomes tense, but allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Bethesda interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
