Gorgeous 2-year-old gray tabby boy BEETHOVEN finds himself flung into the kill-happy ACC due to his old owner’s PERSONAL PROBLEMS. At home, Beethoven was PURRfect: “Beethoven is friendly towards adults & strangers. Beethoven has been exposed to a small breed dog & got along very well with the dog. Beethoven’s activity level is very high. He is best described as a playful, friendly & affectionate cat. He enjoys playing with wand toys & feathers. When owner is home, Beethoven will follow owner around. He plays gently with owner. Beethoven enjoys sleeping on owners bed or his cat bed.” Bonus: Beethoven has fastidious litter box and scratching post manners, and did I mention that he’s ALREADY NEUTERED? SOCIALIZATION: Beethoven has been exposed to children ages 8 & above. Since Beethoven does not live with children he is more fearful when they come around. Beethoven will run and hide. He is friendly towards adults & strangers. Beethoven has not been exposed to other cats but has been exposed to a small breed dog & got along very well with the dog. Beethoven is litter box trained & has been kept mostly indoors. He occasionally enjoys going out for walks and comes right back. Beethoven’s activity level is very high. He is best described as a playful, friendly & affectionate cat. BEHAVIOR: Beethoven gives owner a struggle when he is given a bath & has his nails trimmed. Beethoven is friendly when he is picked up & placed in carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Beethoven uses clumping & clay litter inside of a hooded litter box. He enjoys playing with wand toys & feathers. Beethoven uses a scratching post made of carpet & fabric. When owner is home, Beethoven will follow owner around. He plays gently with owner. Beethoven enjoys eating dry food from brand Friskies or Meow mix. He enjoys eating treats from brand Temptations. Beethoven enjoys sleeping on owners bed or his cat bed. BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE: Upon intake Beethoven appeared to have a relaxed body & was very alert to his environment. once Beethoven was placed inside of cat cage he began to his & display aggressive behavior. Beethoven allowed all handling, scanned negative. It appears Beethoven may not get along with other cats since he began to hiss at the other cat.
