***SAFE 08/07/15*** SIX WEEK OLD KITTEN NAMED BACKSTREET JUST HAD A SPECIAL PLEA OUT YESTERDAY – AND SAID TO BE WITH AN EXPERIENCED ACC FOSTER – BUT TODAY HE IS EUTH LISTED TO DIE!!! What is going on at the ACC? A special plea went out yesterday which said, ” Backstreet came into the care center as a stray and has been observed to be nervous and tense throughout her stay. She is in of a home with a foster who is well versed on socialization. Our behavior determination based off these observations puts her as a candidate for an experienced home or foster. Please pull little Backstreet from SIACC today!!” Well ONE DAY later, this poor tuxie baby is on tonight’s EUTH LIST. As far as their medical notes say, this kitten only is hissing and has fleas! BACKSTREET IS ONLY SIX WEEKS OLD AND AFRAID – HE DESERVES A CHANCE TO HAVE A HOME AND A HAPPILY EVER AFTER. IF YOU CAN GIVE THAT TO HIM, PLEASE APPLY TO FOSTER WITH A RESCUE GROUP AND PULL HIM TO SAFETY NOW!!

(3) Reaction to touch: Ducks head, but seems indifferent to petting. (2) Reaction to being picked up: Tolerant of this type of handling. Notes: Backstreet came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
