10/24/15 15:38 Alissa A1055873 is an approx. 2 year old DSH. She is being surrendered because the owner’s daughter is allergic. She received Alissa as a gift. She has not been to the vet and she has no known health issues. Socialization Alissa is friendly around strangers. She plays gently with children and with the other cats in the home. She has not bitten anyone or any other animal. Behavior Alissa is litterbox trained. She has never been bathed or had her nails trimmed. She lived with two other cats and they got along well. She has lots of toys and is very playful with adults and the other cats. She sleeps anywhere in the house and was being fed Purina cat chow. Behavior during intake Alissa was shy inside of the carrier but she allowed me to take her out and position her for photographs. I was able to scan (-),collar her and pet her. She tolerated all handling. She was very friendly and allowed me to carry her and transfer her into a kennel. She did not resist or vocalize.

Alissa former owner stated she is friendly around strangers. She plays gently with children and with the other cats in the home. Alissa also lived with two other cats and they got along well. She has lots of toys and is very playful with adults and the other cats. Reaction to assessor: Alissa looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Alissa remains lying down on her cage bedding, relaxed body posture. Reaction to touch: Alissa head-butts the assessor’s hand, rolls over in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes ansty then jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Alissa interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
